As a volunteer organization, CADM relies on the ongoing volunteer efforts of our members. All our committees play an important role in helping our chapter accomplish our mission to foster the exchange of ideas, business cards and knowledge while elevating marketing professionals, companies, organizations, brands and students.
CADM Committees allow members to learn from and engage with like-minded Chicagoland Marketing professionals while driving thought leadership. The Executive Committee ensures effective implementation of CADM’s Strategic Plan, which is updated each year. They also work to ensure the financial and operational sustainability of CADM which includes risk management. The Executive Committee facilitates decision making in between Board meetings or in the case of a crisis or other urgent circumstances.
The Executive Committee consists of the current CADM President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Immediate Past President.
The Education/Programming Committee develops and executes the programming strategy for CADM. Programming includes educational and social events. The committee works closely with the board to establish program quantity and frequency, delivery format, primary attendee target(s), soliciting and coordinating speakers, event budgeting, and event sponsorship opportunities.
The Marketing/Communications Committee develops, executes, and manages the chapter's communications strategy and channels keeping in mind the Board's overall goals and objectives and organization's mission. The committee works with other committees to understand how they can help enhance their efforts through use of marketing communications. They work closely with the Executive Director and other committees to obtain input that fuels their copy and graphics. The Membership Committee provides advice and counsel to the board on matters of membership and partnership recruitment and retention. They are responsible for prospective member and partner outreach, welcoming new members and partners, keeping members and partners informed of the resources available, and overseeing the chapter’s growth and retention programs.
The nominations committee consists of tenured CADM members and former leaders. The committee reviews all Board of Director nominees and compiles the board slate for the upcoming year per CADM’s bylaws. The committee seeks to develop a slate of candidates that represents a broad spectrum of our membership and promotes diversity.
Tempo Awards Committee
The Tempo Awards Committee is responsible for overall planning, organization, and execution of CADM’s Tempo Awards. The Tempo Awards Committee consists of five to eight members representing the diversity of CADM Members. The committee meets regularly via in-person and/or conference calls that serve as a forum for updates, discussion, and planning.
